Quality of Service

Multiple classes of service to guarantee application performance. Claranet's VPN:ng service supports up to six total classes of service backed up with a stringent performance guarantee.

Fasttrack: designed for highly-sensitive realtime applications such as Voiceover IP (VoIP) and IP Video conferencing, this is a premium class of service with latency, jitter and packet loss guarantees

Assured 1-4: The Assured class provides latency and packet loss guarantees for business-critical applications that are not particularly jitter-sensitive (eg SAP, Oracle etc). Claranet provides up to four different classes within the assured category for relative prioritisation of different key applications within your business.

Non-Critical: The default class of service for more robust traffic such as web-browsing and email. These kind of applications can more easily cope with a small degree of packet loss or variable latency, so do not require prioritisation.
