FTP Using Smart FTP

1) Open Smart FTP once it has been installed on your PC.

You can obtain a copy of Smart FTP from http://www.smartftp.com.

2) Insert your host/server name into the box next to the address bar.
Enter your login details in the boxes provided.

3) Select File and "New Remote Browser".
Enter the required information then click OK.

Protocol: FTP.

Host: www.yourdomainname (if it's a ClaraHost account), otherwise home.clara.net.

Path: /public/www (leave blank if connecting to home.clara.net).

Login: Leave unticked.

Username: yourdomainname (if it's a Clarahost account), otherwise enter your Claranet username.

Password: Your password.

4) You are now logged on to the server and ready to upload/download files.

Simply drag and drop the files in to www folder in the "Folders" pane in order to publish your pages/site.
