Setting Up Newsbin Pro

The following is a guide to setting up Newsbin Pro 5 for a Claranet news account. This guide is focused on when running the program for the first time after installation. Newsbin is program that allows you to download content from binary Newsgroups.

1) Open Newsbin Pro, it should run the setup wizard. Click on Next to proceed.

2) The next window will prompt you to enter in the following:

Server address: news.clara.net.
Authentication required: Please ensure that this is ticked.
User name: Enter the username for your Claranet account.
For example if your email address is joebloggs@clara.co.uk,
the username you enter would be joebloggs.
Password: Enter your Claranet password.

Once you have entered all the relevant information, click on Next to proceed.

3) A final screen is displayed giving you further instructions for using NewsBin Pro. Click on Finish to complete the setup.
