Guide To The Speedtouch 330 Modem

This guide covers installing the SpeedTouch 330 USB ADSl modem on Windows 2000 and above. Before you attempt to install the SpeedTouch modem software, please ensure that the modem is not connected to the PC as the software has to be installed first.

1) Insert the SpeedTouch installation CD and click on "SpeedTouch USB 330 software".

2) Click on "install software UK settings".

3) The installer will start decompressing the installation files. When you get the following screen, please click on Next.

4) You will now be presented with the license agreement. If you agree with it, then click on Yes to proceed.

5) The following screen prompts you to select the directory the software is to be installed in. Accept the default location for installation (recommended), or select one to your liking. Once you have selected the directory, click on Next.

6) At this window, click on Next.

7) The setup wizard will now copy across the driver files and set up your computer to recognise the SpeedTouch 330 USB ADSL modem. Once that has been completed, click on Finish to complete the software installation.

8) All that is required now is to connect the USB ADSL modem to the computer and Windows should detect the modem. Simply follow the wizard to complete the installation.

Once the software is installed and you have physically connected the SpeedTouch to the telephone line using the microfilters, log on to your Claranet ADSL account by entering your username and password on the SpeedTouch dialer software.
